Printing
Print from a phone or tablet
Once at least one workstation in your org is paired with the Print Agent installed, you can dispatch a print from any browser — including the one in your pocket — and the card comes out of the right printer.
Setup
- Make sure at least one workstation has the agent installed, paired, and is sharing its printers. See Share printers across workstations.
- On your phone, open BadgeBadger and sign in. Your account membership is what gates which printers you can see.
Printing
- Open the employee whose card you want to print.
- The Print button on the phone is the same as on the desktop. Tap it and the printer picker opens.
- Pick a printer. Since you’re on a phone (no local agent), every option in the picker is remote — labelled with the workstation that hosts it.
- Confirm in the “About to print on another computer?” dialog. The toast updates live: Queued → Printing → Done.
Kiosk mode
For self-serve scenarios (a staff lobby, a school visitor desk), open BadgeBadger’s built-in kiosk mode in a browser on a tablet: hq.badgebadger.app/kiosk. An employee types their ID, the kiosk looks them up, takes a fresh photo if needed, and dispatches the print to the configured workstation. No staff to babysit it.
Kiosk works best in “remote dispatch” mode. The kiosk tablet doesn’t need to be near the printer — the agent on whichever workstation hosts the printer just polls for queued jobs.
